See how the model's transformed her look
Alicia Douvall‘s body has gone through a huge transformation over the past few years.
The model had already completely changed her appearance before she came to fame in the early 00s.
‘I had my first breast augmentation as a teenager and became a glamour model,’ says Alicia.
‘I was earning £5,000 a month, but I just never believed I was good-looking enough.’
Alicia is keen to show off her surgically-enhanced chest at the Elle Style Awards in London on 16 September 2002.
Feeling desperately unhappy with the way she looks, Alicia goes under the knife as many as 350 times in the years that follow.
She estimates that her alterations – which include silicone bum implants, multiple boob jobs, fat transfers and an operation to have her toes shortened – have cost her £1 million.
The glamour girl has also had 3 facelifts, 12 rounds of eye surgery, 7 nose jobs and a chin implant.
‘I took a Barbie doll to one medical consultation to show them exactly what I was after,’ she reveals.
‘I was unwell – addicted to surgery. But none of those doctors tried to stop me. I think they just wanted my money.’
Alicia suffers from body dysmorphia disorder, otherwise known as BDD. This debilitating mental illness causes people to obsess over their appearance and develop a distorted perception of their looks.
Alicia is filled with regret when she reflects on what she’s done to her body.
‘My obsession has ruined my life. I spent every penny on cosmetic surgery,’ she confesses.
‘I live in a rented apartment. I have nothing to show for all the years when I was earning big money.
‘I’m not in a relationship because no man wants to be with an obsessive who wants to have surgery every week.’
