See the TV star's body transformation over the years
James Corden has always battled with his weight throughout his career.
Our gallery charts the actor and TV presenter’s changing body over the years, from being a chubby youngster to developing a slimmer figure after finding success in America.
As our first picture shows, James is fuller-faced when he finds fame in the hit television drama series Fat Friends at the age of 22. James stars as Jamie Rymer, one of the younger members at a weekly slimming club.
The actor branches out into film in the years that follow, with roles in the likes of The History Boys and Starter For 10, but he doesn’t appear to have slimmed down for the big screen.
In 2007 James really hits the big time with his comedy series Gavin And Stacey. The TV star steps out with then-girlfriend and co-star Sheridan Smith and appears particularly big next to her slim frame.
James Corden looks to have lost some weight by 2008, but he sports a rather portly stomach the following year and looks larger than ever whilst filming further episodes of Gavin And Stacey.
Throughout 2010 James’ shape seems to fluctuate. Later in the year it looks like he’s keen to get fit though as he’s spotted out and about in a sporty tracksuit.
After becoming a father for the first time when partner Julia Carey gives birth to son Max, James glows with happiness. In 2012 he looks very svelte when he goes out in New York.
By 2013 the actor has clearly shed several pounds and admits he’s inspired by the weight loss of his good friend Gary Barlow.
He keeps up his health regime throughout 2014 and his career goes from strength to strength too. In December of that year he’s announced as the new host of American chat show The Late Late Show.
By this point James looks better than ever and reveals that he’s lost a whopping 6st!
