Kate persuades William to stay after he admits finding it difficult to settle. He later switches to a geography course.

In September 2002, Kate Middleton and Prince William move into a student house with two other university friends.

The pair head off to Austria for a skiing holiday and they’re snapped on the slopes of Klosters together.

Kate and the young royal both graduate in 2005 and enjoy a celebratory lunch with their families after the ceremony.

2006 is a busy time for Kate and Wills as they bag invites to friends’ weddings, attend a number of polo matches and the Sovereign’s Parade at Sandhurst.

Both sports fans, the couple are all smiles a rugby match and horse racing event the following year.

Kate then starts training for a pal’s rowing squad called The Sisterhood.

Even though Kate Middleton and Prince William‘s romance is still strong, the duo are unable to spend Valentine’s together in 2008.

The pair announce their plans to marry in late 2010 and release their office engagement photos a few weeks later.

Keen to get to know her new family, Kate is invited along to the royals’ pre-Christmas lunch.

Kate and William tie the knot at Westminster Abbey in April 2011 and they become the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

A honeymoon in the Seychelles is next for the newlyweds before they embark on a tour of Canada.

The couple continue to show their strong bond as they appear at a number of official engagements, but are separated in 2012 when Wills flies to the Falkland Islands to begin his six-week deployment.

In December 2012, Kate Middleton and Prince William tell the world that they are expecting a baby.

With her baby overdue by the following July, the royal family start to get restless.

‘I would very much like it to arrive. I’m going on holiday,’ says the Queen.

Much to the Queen’s delight, her grandson and his wife become parents to a baby boy – Prince George – just a few days later.
