See what the stars of BBC's Call the Midwife look like off camera
Call the Midwife now on its fourth season is a Sunday night drama success story.
The programme follows the lives of a group of midwives working in the East End in the 1950s and early 1960s based on the best-selling memoirs of Jennifer Worth.
A stellar line up of actresses make up a cast including Jenny Agutter, Pam Ferris, comedienne Miranda Hart and newbie midwife Charlotte Ritchie last seen in Channel 4s Fresh Meat.
Jenny Agutter began as a child star and first stole our hearts as the sensible and sensitive eldest daughter Roberta in The Railway Children. She grew up and graduated on to sexy sci fi in Logans Run, was the girlfriend to The Last American Werewolf and was a sleuth in Spooks. As Sister Julienne shes the voice of reason and dignity in Nonnatus House.
Pam Ferris is wonderful as the no nonsense Sister Evangelista who doesnt suffer fools gladly. She has a long and distinguished career in popular hits like Rosemary and Thyme and was also Aunt Marge in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Judy Parfitt is eccentric cake thief Sister Monica Joan. Shes got a long and established career and was doctor Elizabeth Cordays mother in ER in 2002.
Sister Winifred is a recent addition to Nonnatus House. This is actress Victoria Yeates’ first big role after a few bit parts in Holby City and Lip Service.
Helen George who plays glamorous nurse Trixie Franklin is a talented singer as well as actress and has even appeared as a backing singer for Elton John.
Comedienne Miranda Hart is the clumsy but kind Chummy Noakes. Shes shown she can do serious drama in Call the Midwife as well as being a funny lady.
Aberdeen native Laura Main started off as nun Sister Bernadette before abandoning her veil and throwing herself into the arms of dashing Dr Turner.
Last but not least new midwife Barbara Gilbert, played by Fresh Meats Charlotte Ritchie.
Wed say they are all a lot more glamorous out of those uniforms. Who do you think looks most different out of character?
