From country cutie to sexy siren, Taylor has transformed her look over the years

Taylor Swift has changed her style quite often over the years.

Our gallery charts the singer’s many looks, from the cutesy get-ups at the beginning of her career to more grown-up outfits as she gets older.

As our first picture shows, Taylor sports a suitably youthful ensemble when she first hits the music scene as a 16-year-old country crooner in 2006. The American star is all smiles in her boho frock – teamed with bouncy blonde curls – at an awards do in Las Vegas.

Taylor soon becomes a huge star and slowly starts to experiment with her style. By 2008 she’s confident enough to bare her legs in a vivid purple mini dress but is almost unrecognisable in 2009 when she sports a dowdy look for a role in US TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

2010 sees Taylor glam it up in elegant gowns. She also tries out new hairstyles, from straight locks to a blunt fringe.

We love how daring Taylor Swift gets with her dress sense in 2011. The dramatic frock she wears to a gala celebrating the late Alexander McQueen is very striking, and she also pays homage to Marilyn Monroe in a white dress at the Teen Choice Awards.

As her profile proceeds to rise, Taylor continues to wear different looks. The singer develops a fondness for shorts in 2012 and opts for outfits in bright colours.

Taylor’s style changes yet again in 2013 following her brief romance with One Direction’s Harry Styles. She shows off her enviably long pins in a series of sexy ensembles before performing at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show in a UK-inspired costume.

2014 sees Taylor evolving her grown-up look further. Crop tops and pencil skirts highlight the star’s toned abs but she also wears some gorgeously elegant dresses.
