Celebrities hit the red carpet for Pride of Britain Awards 2014

With a wealth of red carpet celebrities dressed to the nines to celebrate the bravery and courage of ordinary people in extraordinary situations, the Pride of Britain Awards – this year held in London on 6 October – is always a dazzling affair.

Let’s have a look at the red carpet arrivals…

Pop queen and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole kicks off our fashion gallery in this stunning lacy MT Costello gown.

Tulisa Contostavlos also opts for a gorgeous floor-length dress, looking vampy in black.

Opting against a floorsweeper, Suzanne Shaw shows off her enviable pins in a smoking hot scarlet halterneck.

But presenter Susanna Reid prefers to flaunt her shoulders and arms in her sexy strapless number.

Meanwhile, Simon Cowell keeps it casual while partner Lauren Silverman sizzles in her fabulous floor-length frock.

The Saturdays’ Mollie King, Vanessa White and Rochelle Humes further ramp up the glamour content in their figure-hugging gowns.

Elsewhere, the Xtra Factor presenter Sarah-Jane Crawford mixes things up in a dazzling one-armed dress, while Russell Brand channels a rocker image in sunglasses.

Showing the youngsters how it’s done, Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan colour coordinate their outfits.

Also on the red carpet, Rachel Stevens looks simply ravishing in her little black dress with cutaway waist.

Taking a break from the kitchen, Paul Hollywood is tasty in a three-piece suit, while fellow Great British Bake Off star Mary Berry shows she’s super-glam when she puts the apron away.

Revealing a bit more skin than Mary, Myleene Klass and Katie Piper both decide to go for strapless outfits.

Actresses Katherine Kelly and Kara Tointon keep it classy in their subtle yet stylish choices.

The men on the red carpet keep it clean and classic, with Joey Essex and Cheryl Cole’s new husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini both in suits.

Cyclist Bradley Wiggins doesn’t scrub up too badly either when he’s not in his Lycra.

Back to the ladies, TOWIE’s Jasmin Walia looks ravishing in a cobalt blue floor-length frock, while singer Jamelia shimmers in a sexy sheath dress and dancer Iveta Lukosiute is equally stunning in midnight blue.

Representing the more mature generation, Denise Welch goes all fancy in her ballroom-inspired dress.

There’s plenty of colour on the red carpet, too – Danielle Lloyd looks peachy in pink, Chloe Sims and Carol Vorderman rock orange and red respectively, Amanda Holden makes us green with envy in her emerald gown and Alexandra Burke is a beauty in blue.

In contrast, Alesha Dixon is one of the few glamorous gals to plump for patterns.

Rounding up the red carpet looks at the 2014 Pride of Britain Awards is former Strictly champ Abbey Clancy – she goes all Grecian on us in her Versace dress that’s, er, Strictly sensational.
