The star's Tweet falls short of a satisfactory explanation


Cheryl Cole says The X Factor-print trousers she wore on a flight to LA this week meant nothing.

The singer appeared to be paying tribute to the US talent show with the logo-covered pants and many thought the style choice was a sign that Cheryl has finally forgiven former bosom buddy Simon Cowell.

But Chezza took to Twitter to rubbish any notion that the trousers – also sported by Nicole Richie – were making a statement.

Promise I am not trying to send out subliminal msgs to anybody through my jeans,’ Cheryl, 28, Tweeted on Monday.

They just looked cool to me.. But since you mention it…’
