The Saturdays star has matured

Frankie Sandford has noticed her fashion sense change over the years.

The singer was still a teenager when The Saturdays were formed back in 2007 and she thinks her style has become more refined since then.

‘I was a lot more casual when we first started,’ says Frankie, 25.

‘I think I’ve just grown up a bit – a bit more sophisticated. Anyone does from 17 to 25.

‘I was probably cooler then than I am now!’

It’s no wonder the pretty star is channelling an increasingly mature vibe these days as there have been several big changes in her life recently.

As well as starring in Strictly, Frankie Sandford has embarked on a Greatest Hits tour with The Saturdays this year and tied the knot with retired footballer Wayne Bridge in July.

In October 2013 she became a mother for the first time when she gave birth to baby son Parker.

Family life has obviously had an effect on how she dresses. Despite getting glammed up on Strictly, Frankie Sandford opts for comfort when she’s off-duty.

Her wardrobe staples are good-fitting trousers and chic pashminas. She admits to feeling a bit lost if she doesn’t have a shawl wrapped around her.

‘I like J Brand jeans because they’re stretchy,’ the mum-of-one says.

‘And a scarf – I have so many. Scarves for me are like a security blanket. If I don’t wear one I feel naked.

‘I like Alexander McQueen ones.’

Frankie’s also made changes to her hairdo. The singer is known for her sweeping bob cut but decided to go even shorter over the summer.

Her style on Strictly has earned heaps of praise from fans too. Frankie’s worn a series of stunning dresses to perform with partner Kevin Clifton and she’s a hot favourite to win the show.
