What’s your favourite workout?

Lifting weights – they make me feel super strong and empowered. My favourite is dead lifting as it is my strongest lift and I can go super heavy. My personal best is 110kg! I also do pilates and I love boxing classes as they are super challenging and make me sweat. I usually train 5-6 days a week.

TOWIE’S Jessica Wright talks body inspo: ‘Seeing hot bodies on Instagram motivates me!’

How do you motivate yourself to keep fit?

I find that writing down my goals and saving them on my desktop helps to motivate me as I see the document every time I turn on my computer!

Do you have any favourite workout music?

I love a bit of Adele and I am not ashamed!

Which body part do you struggle to keep in shape?

I am a typical woman and store my body fat around my midriff and thighs, so they are the toughest areas to shift.

What’s your guilty food pleasure?

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate – and none of that healthy dark chocolate. I mean the real deal – Galaxy Cookie Crumble is my favourite! I have chocolate a couple of times a week – I don’t believe in deprivation.

What’s your alcohol of choice?

I hardly drink, but when I do I choose clear spirits such as gin or vodka and a light mixer.

Zanna’s Food Diary

Now’s expert sports nutritionist Ollie Frost gives his verdict on her daily diet…

BREAKFAST – Usually zoats (courgette oats), topped with banana, coconut almond butter and dark chocolate chips.

OLLIE SAYS: Zanna is renowned for her interesting and fresh meal ideas- this meal is high in dietary fats and protein that will help promote fat loss and off-set hunger, preventing poor food decisions later on in the day.

Cals: 290

LUNCH – Omelette full of veggies and chicken or prawns, topped with feta and seeds.

OLLIE SAYS: Omelettes present a perfect opportunity to pack in a mix of healthy ingredients. Veggies are high in phytonutrients which contain high amounts of anti-oxidants to protect the immune system and fight potential diseases.

Cals: 450

DINNER – Sweet potato noodles topped with broccoli, salmon and feta.

OLLIE SAYS: Using basic recipes to blend in a mixture of healthy foods is an easy, time efficient way to nourish your body with essential vitamins and minerals, along with a healthy dose of protein and carbohydrates to help rebuild and replenish energy stores.

Cals: 501

SNACKS – This varies a lot. Either fruit, such as mango or berries, homemade energy balls, Greek yoghurt with nut butter, carrot sticks or cucumber and guacamole.

OLLIE SAYS: Snack on fat to lose weight and burn fat. nuts and avocados are nutrient dense foodS that provide the body with monounsaturated fats, protein and fibre. These foods will protect your immune system against illnesses and disease. Be aware of calories though as one gram of fat equates to 9 cals.

Cals: 360

OLLIE’S VERDICT:

Total cals: 1601

Zanna is a fine example to all those people who say eating healthy is boring. She’s taken single ingredient foods that will nourish and repair the body and created simple and tasty dishes. Her daily protein amounts are high which will protect her lean body mass- research suggests this will help increase fat loss when combined with an effective workout regime.
