I love Times Red - but from here on in, Ella Henderson's got my vote.

Last Saturday, Times Red got voted out of The X Factor. And it has taken me until today to fully recover from the shock of it all.

The UK chose Chris Maloney as their wild card. Chris. Maloney. Really?

I don’t know why I am so surprised – after all, The X Factor disappoints me in some way every year.

When Miss Frank got voted out in 2009, I was making dinner and I was so upset I accidentally put a casserole dish filled with gravy on top of a hot hob and it exploded into a million pieces.

I guess you could say dinner was on me – I looked like a mud-splattered contestant on I’m A Celeb. Erm, drama.

Maybe The X Factor‘s done me a favour. Without the disarming good looks of Times Red‘s Scott Ritchie, Staz Nair and Luke White to distract me, I can finally see clearly now.

I’m backing Ella Henderson to win. Obvs!

Yes, James Arthur‘s a good singer, but Ella Henderson‘s better.

She’s 16, pretty, gracious and her captivating, angelic voice has the power to move people to tears (namely, Nicole Scherzinger, my GBF Neil and yours truly).

Ella Henderson‘s the stuff that The X Factor – and the Christmas No 1 – are made of.

So please, vote for Ella Henderson.

I don’t think I can take any more telly-induced heartache this year.
