Why pregnant Blake Lively is dressing like a Hoochie Mama rather than a stay-at-home mama...
She’s used to turning heads as one of the world’s most desirable women, so Blake Lively was never going to be a shy and retiring mum-to-be.
But has the pregnant celebrity gone too far with this plunging neckline dress?
While it’s one thing to embrace your bump, it’s another to look like you want to indulge in some actual bump and grind – and Gossip Girl Blake certainly got us all talking as she stepped out in a slit to the naval, skintight, figure hugging, booby and baby bump hugging dress on a night out with hubby Ryan Reynolds.
Sure, any woman will tell you when you’re preggers you can feel insecure as your body changes. As you get rounder, you question whether you are still sexy, will your other half be drawn to more slender women, and how long will it take to get your post-baby body back, if ever?
But Blake certainly didn’t seem to have those insecurities as she made sure all eyes were on her as the couple made their first official appearance together since Blake announced their happy news earlier this month on her website.
Actor Ryan Reynolds was hooked as he gazed into gorgeous Blake‘s eyes at the Angel Ball at Cipriani, Wall Street in Manhattan on Monday.
The parents-to-be – who are expecting their first child – celebrated their second wedding anniversary last month.
The glowing 27-year-old took the plunge in a yellow long-sleeved gown, and she accessorised with Ofira Sandberg jewelry.
The dress was one thing – but don’t get me started on the killer heels. I felt nervous just looking at them, that she could trip over at any moment.
Dressing like a single gal out on the town is probably not the smartest idea when you’re pregnant.
Those nine months may seem like a lifetime now for Blake, but when it’s over she can go back to dressing like a hoochie mama/pageant queen instead of opting for the stay-at-home mama theme.
This is the time she should relish in relaxing her image, wearing an elastic waist and letting it all hang out a bit.
Eating whatever she likes just because she can – and put the Hollywood dos and don’ts on the backburner as she relaxes and focuses on becoming a mum.
Yes, Blake, we know you’re hot – and having a baby bump is not going to make us forget that.
But you’d look just as fabulous in a PG-rated empire line dress.
In my opinion, something has got to be done about her maternity fashion choices – let’s just blame this one on the hormones.
