Look amazing for the festive season – in just five days!

Every day this week we’re bringing you the simplest, best tips to be LBD ready by the weekend and to guarantee you WOW this festive party season, you lucky things!

The pressure is on to look and  – most importantly – feel amazing at that Christmas do, and with time against us we’re seeking a quicker fix. Fear not, we’re on hand to make that happen – and in just five days. Hurrah!

Today we’re starting with the most important factor: diet. Don’t worry, it’s not as scary as you think, it’s actually really simple.

Meal plan:

Breakfast: 3 scrambled eggs (1 yolk, 2 whites) with steamed spinach and a sliced grilled tomato

Snacks: 100g turkey with 5 brazil nuts

Lunch: 1 grilled chicken breast, OR 1 grilled or baked haddock fillet with a salad of mixed leaves, red peppers and green beans and ¼ tbsp olive oil

Snacks: 100g chicken breast with ½ yellow pepper, sliced

Dinner: 1 salmon steak with chopped dill, rocket salad and a portion of steamed brussels sprouts

The golden rules to fit into that killer outfit fast:

When you wake up make your first drink hot water with a slice of lemon. It’s great for digestion and detoxing, meaning you avoid the bloat. Drinking caffeine does the opposite, so ditch your morning latte ASAP.

Swap all drinks for water at room temperature. Aim to drink 2-3 litres per day. To make it tastier, add lemon juice or fruit such as orange slices, strawberries and raspberries. Yum.

Cut the C.R.A.P: Avoid the four main food groups that cause fat to cling to our bodies: caffeine, refined sugar, alcohol and processed foods. Soz!

Take fish oil supplements: They burn fat and supply essential fatty acids.

Never skip breakfast. Try to eat within one hour of waking up. If you don’t have time to make something substantial like the one in our plan, make sure you grab a piece of fruit and a few nuts on the way to eat on your way to work.

Don’t eat after 8pm: Avoid eating a large meal in the evening, as this is when your digestion system is slowing down or sleeping making it a no-no a for your digestion and weight.
