The split came as a shock - but I'm on Joey's side
But last night we learned more about the background to Joey and Sam‘s flawed relationship (apart from her partying too much in Marbella. Which was sort of a flimsy excuse for breaking off an engagement).
She hit him!
‘I pushed him and slapped him around the face,’ Sam admitted to her sister Billie and mate Ferne at a spa.
‘It was only a slap. Everyone slaps their boyfriend once, when they deserve it.’
I don’t know about that, Sam. I’ve had several rubbish boyfriends who all ‘deserved’ a slap. But I didn’t do it. Because violence isn’t cool!
I’m not saying that Joey was totally innocent in their relationship, because it takes two to tango (and to argue).
And in Sam‘s defence, Joey‘s tight-knit family is pretty intimidating (though they also have every right to be after the death of Joey‘s mum at a young age).
Joey‘s a sensitive soul. Sam‘s strong willed. I guess it just wasn’t meant to be.
I’m Team Joey on this one!
