And their blossoming romance has the blessing of Russian hunk Artem‘s mother.

‘They make a beautiful couple which fills my heart with pride and joy,’ says proud mum Anna, 60.

‘I like the girl. And I respect my son’s choice.

‘He’s very fond of her. To me this is everything that matters and she seems to like him, too.’

Ex-EastEnders stunner Kara, 27, and Artem, wowed the judges and public alike on Saturday night with their rumba. waltz and show dance.

After they were declared the 2010 Strictly champions, the couple shared a very public kiss.

‘I don’t mind that Kara is English,’ Anna tells the News Of The World.

‘I’m not worried either that their children’s first language might not be Russian.

‘It’s fine. I will take care of teaching them.’

Artem, 28 – who was briefly married to American dancer Giselle Peacock – will be spending Christmas with Kara and her family at the Tointons‘ home in North London.
