It's not just Liverpudlians who are backing Christopher
It was thought that Christopher, 34, has been so successful in the competition because fellow Liverpudlians have been picking up their phones – but it seems they’re not the only ones.
‘It’s like nothing we’ve ever seen,’ says a source.
‘When Irish singer Mary Byrne was on the show, the Irish vote was keeping her in. But with Christopher everyone is voting for him.’
Bookies William Hill have slashed the former cruise ship singer’s odds from 4/1 to 10/3, although James, 24, and Jahmene, 21, are still the favourites to take the top spot.
‘It’s not the end of the world if he wins because it will be what the public wants,’ the insider tells The Sun.
‘We’re sure James will get a deal and keep the show’s credibility intact.’
