Some aren't impressed that Holly's cleavage was on display

The BBC has been forced to apologise after the low-cut gown Holly Willoughby wore to present The Voice final received 139 complaints.

Holly, 32, stunned in a black lace number which revealed more than a hint of cleavage on Saturday night – but a few people weren’t happy that her flesh was on show before the 9pm watershed.

‘We’re sorry if some viewers found Holly‘s dress to be unsuitable. Holly enjoys fashion and we felt the dress was glamorous and wholly appropriate for the occasion,’ says a BBC spokeswoman.

‘We don’t believe it would have gone against audience expectations for a TV spectacle such as this.’

Holly had gone all-out to announce Andrea Begley as the winner of the talent show and paired her statement frock with bright red lips and a curly ‘do.

But this isn’t the first time one of her glam outfits has got her attention.

In 2008, the mum-of-two was criticised for her plunging cream dress during the Dancing On Ice final.

And Holly had an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction when her boob popped out of her top on children’s show Holly & Stephen’s Saturday Showdown in 2006.
