The Union J singer admits he feels isolated as the group's newest member

He made it to the live shows of The X Factor, so you’d expect Union J singer George Shelley to be on cloud nine.

But the 19-year-old – who’s already been dubbed ‘the new Harry Styles‘ – has admitted that he feels like an ‘outsider’ in the group.

George, who auditioned as a solo artist and told Now recently that it was ‘weird’ being in a band, did his best to enjoy the perks of his new-found fame when he went to London’s Whisky Mist with the other finalists on 30 September.

But the teenager, who was a last-minute addition to Union J before judges’ houses, was spotted pouring his heart out about how he doesn’t feel he fits in.

He was overheard saying: ‘I’m so lonely – the other boys know each other really well and I still feel like an outsider.

‘I only had four days to practise with them before judges’ houses.’

Of course, George, JJ Hamblett, 24, Josh Cuthbert, 20, and Jaymi Hensley, 22, now appear to have bonded and are thrilling The X Factor audience.

But District 3 put on a fantastic performance last night so it could be a battle of the boy bands.

An X Factor spokesperson denies that George said he feels like an outsider.
