The judges have a falling out

Tulisa Contostavlos hit back at Gary Barlow on last night’s X Factor after he complained about her ‘fag ash breath’ on Saturday’s show.

The singer showed off a huge nicotine patch on her arm as she pulled her signature pose at the start of the programme.

Gary, 41, made the insulting remark about Tulisa, 24, after she criticised his act Christopher Maloney‘s choice of song.

‘I don’t know what offends me more, your comments or your fag ash breath,’ said Gary, 41.

Tulisa replied: ‘Just a note for Gary – lay off the red wine because I can really smell that.’

It proved to be a bad weekend for Tulisa as her act Jade Ellis lost out to boy band Union J in the sing-off yesterday and was voted off the show.

Gary said the 25-year-old – who performed Dido‘s White Flag – had ‘sung her heart out’ but he wanted the group to stay because he could ‘see the commitment in their eyes’.
