We talk pulling tactics with Made in Chelsea newbie James Dunmore in his first ever interview

He may be the hottest new edition to the show, but Made in Chelsea‘s James Dunmore has a controversial approach to chatting up girls… He doesn’t.

‘I don’t feel the need to bombard a really hot girl so I sit back and wait,’ the 25-year-old told NOW.

‘I don’t text girls back straight away either, I always play it quite cool.’

Hmm. And does he find that this tactic works? Er, yes, apparently.

‘I’m not going to lie, girls do generally think I’m an arrogant tw*t,’ added James. ‘But I actually think they quite like it! I think girls prefer a guy who’s more chilled out.

‘I’ve never intentionally been a dick to someone to try to woo them round, but I am what I am. Girls seem to like it. I don’t pretend to be anything I’m not. I’m a gentleman though – I always pay for dates though.’

Confident, much?! If this is the kind of caddish (and OK, a little bit sexy) behaviour we can expect from the new Chelsea castmates, then this is one series we don’t want to be missing.

Bedfordshire-born James, who joins the show on Monday and is a friend of Jamie Laing’s, told us he was 100% single and found all the girls on the show, ‘very attractive,’ but refused to name names. ‘I’ve had some scenes with some very lovely people,’ was all he revealed. Boo!

James did, however, let us in on the pulling tactics of his housemate – and fellow MIC newbie – 24-year-old Elliot Cross.

Elliot is the worst,’ said James. ‘He’ll chew a girl’s ear off and I love to sit back and watch him fail then swoop in.’

The boys also live with another new castmember, Josh ‘JP’ Patterson. The trio have a house in SW3 (natch). We expect to see some wild parties – and even wilder flirting.
