Gregg adores delicious food and reckons spam is special
Gregg Wallace‘s guilty pleasure is 70s food.
Though his idea meal is veal chop with creamy morel sauce and pommes purée followed by pear and caramel millefeuille, he also loves the kind of grub his granny served up.
‘My mum wasn’t a great cook – she didn’t have time – but my gran made lovely 70s things like moussaka,’ reveals MasterChef judge Gregg, 47.
‘Thinking about her food made me open a retro 70s restaurant in Bermondsey called Gregg’s Table, serving mulligatawny soup, lobster thermidor and spam fritters.’
