The X Factor teens enjoy a shopping spree
The boys – who have reportedly already earned over £2m in their record deal with Simon Cowell‘s label Syco – met with 17-year-old Cher for a spot of shopping at LA’s favourite celebrity haunt, The Grove.
‘[One Direction] are in the States to meet top producers and songwriters before they start recording material for their debut album,’ says a source.
‘Even The X Factor finalist usually waits nearly a year to release their material but Simon is keen to get One Direction cracking.’
The band – Zayn Malik, 18, Louis Tomlinson, 18, Harry Styles, 16, Liam Payne, 17, and Niall Horan, 17 – will have to pay back most of the £2m through record sales, but Simon‘s clearly confident his boys will be a success.
‘They are getting stuck in and will put out a first single this spring,’ the source tells the Sun.
‘Then hear the cash register chime.’
