Straight-talking Robbie tipped to be new X Factor judge

If Simon Cowell quits the UK X Factor to concentrate on the US, Take That star Robbie Williams could be the one sitting in the music mogul’s seat.

Simon, 51, insists he ‘hasn’t made any commitments to anything yet’, but if he heads to Tinseltown, the show’s bosses reckon the Robster would be a great X Factor judge.

Robbie is a huge name so would naturally be a massive ratings hit,’ says a source.

‘Not only that, he is also straight-talking and comical.’

Robbie, 36, is touring with Take That until July, so will miss out on some of the auditions, but would be available for the judges’ houses and live shows.

‘We all understand that right now America is where Simon‘s focus has to be,’ the insider tells the Daily Star.

‘There aren’t many people that can fill his shoes, but Robbie just might be able to do it.’
