Simon Cowell suggests he's achieved what he needs to

Simon Cowell attributes his phenomenal success to his own instinct.

The music mogul can just feel when someone or something is special.

‘I never really had a proper education. I wasn’t born with any skill,’ he says.

‘I didn’t learn anything from school. Mainly, I trust my instincts.

‘I genuinely believe that if I like something, other people are going to like it as well.’

Launching The X Factor in the US this year, Simon has hinted that it may soon be time for him to quit the UK.

‘I asked a very successful guy, “What’s the best advice you can give me?”‘ he tells Oprah Winfrey in Oprah Presents Master Class.

‘He said, “Simon, always know when to leave the fair.”

‘And I think that’s good advice.

‘Something inside you just says, “You know what, it’s time to go.”
