BBC says it will help manage increased voting
Strictly Come Dancing will be broadcast in two parts in the lead up to Christmas.
The change coincides with the arrival of guest judge Darcey Bussell.
‘This split allows more time to manage and verify the increased volume of calls that we expect to receive as the show reaches its conclusion,’ says a BBC spokesman.
The main show will start at 6.40pm, followed by the results show at 9.40pm.
The change is set to take place from 5 December.
