Strictly Come Dancing star wants to dance like Fame icon Leroy

Strictly Come Dancing hunk Ricky Whittle dreams of dancing like his hero, Leroy Johnson, from the original 80s flick Fame.

‘I just wanna dance,’ Ricky exclusively tells Now Online. ‘I wanna be Leroy from Fame. I might have to actually leave Hollyoaks to become a dancer!’

Bookies’ favourite Ricky, 28, idolised street-kid dancer Leroy – played by the late Gene Anthony Ray – as a younster.

Now he’s hoping his professional dance lessons will leave him one step closer to the Harlem dancing sensation from the original Fame movie – which is back on the big screen with a new cast of hopefuls in the 2009 remake

‘Everyone wanted to be able to dance like Leroy when we were younger and now I’m living the dream,’ says Ricky. ‘I’m having such an amazing time on Strictly, I just don’t want it to end.’
