We joined the pair for a special exclusive gig this lunchtime in the sun
She missed out on our Now interview in the latest issue due to last-minute song changes, but luckily for us, this lunchtime The Voice‘s Bo Bruce popped to London‘s Southbank (right near Now HQ) for a jam with mentor Danny O’Donoghue!
Giving fans only one hour to get there, Bo and Danny announced the impromptu gig on Twitter.
Danny told his followers: ‘Yo, me and Bo going gorilla style busking In front of the Tate Modern on Bankside , London @ 12 o clock see ya there;)……’
In ankle boots and skinny jeans, Bo performed Coldplay‘s Charlie Brown to the very exciteable crowd.
Danny and Bo also gave spectators a sneak peek of their special number for the final this weekend – an acoustic version of Professor Green and Emeli Sandé‘s Read All About It, prompted by notes written on the back of a bank statement.
Danny revealed: ‘We literally wrote this this morning, isn’t that crazy!’
As part of the 100-strong audience, we also got to be part of the show – donning cardboard judges masks (look out for Now‘s Lauren as Danny), facing away from the stage, then in true Voice style, turning around as Bo sang.
When one onlooker shouted, ‘Danny, she’s gonna win’, the very proud mentor agreed: ‘That’s why we’re doing this, you know?’
