But while the singer is devastated about leaving, she’s hinted that her departure was down to the judges playing unfairly. It hasn’t escaped Gifty’s notice that the judges, including Nicole Scherzinger, gave her a standing ovation, then sent her home after.
Gifty told The Sun: ‘I was a bit surprised. On Xtra Factor Nicole kind of turned around and said Gifty shouldn’t have gone home, but you voted for me to go out…?

‘Maybe it was to get rid of the competition? That’s what the show is about. You want to protect your own people. I don’t know what’s going through their head, but that’s what I thought anyway.’
It also must be quite annoying that the likes of Honey G – the world’s least funny, rapping clown – can get through every week and a genuine singer fails.
But Gifty isn’t the only X Factor reject to speak out against the show. Fame-hungry Ryan Ruckledge claimed last week that he was offered a place in the live final in exchange for a relationship with one of the producers!
He told the Daily Star: ‘He begged me to be with him and told me he would get me to the lives because they have input on what acts go through to what stage.’
