Nail the Mad Men fashion trend

Fashionistas, listen up! Mad Men style is about to reach fever pitch. First, we had the Mad Men Barbie dolls, then a fashion range (available at QVC later next month) and now Mad Men is hitting the beauty world with a limited edition range of nail polishes.

Janie Bryant, costume designer for the hit show set in the world of 1960s advertising in New York, has designed a collection of nail varnishes with Californian brand Nailtini.

The colours are based on fabrics of the Mad Men 1960s era – like velvets, satins and lamé (the fabric used for sexy cocktail dresses) and are sure to please housewife Betty, office manager Joan and copywriter Peggy.

The collection of four limited-edition nail polishes includes Bourbon Satin (brown), French 75 (gold), Deauville (platinum) and Stinger (iridescent). And, will be available in the US from September.

They’ll cost $14 each and will be sold in US drugstore CVS Beauty 360 and Duane Reade ‘Look’ branches. Time to call those American friends or search on eBay, girls!
