Is coconut oil secret to Miranda Kerr's super-hot body?

Miranda Kerr has it all. We want her body, we want her bloke, we want her baby and now the world’s going crazy for Mrs Orlando Bloom‘s bizarre coconut oil ‘addiction’.

Miranda confesses, ‘I will not go a day without coconut oil. I personally take four tablespoons per day, either on my salads, in my cooking or in my cups of green tea.’

Miranda, 28, had her first child in January but was back in super-sexy supermodel shape in skimpy swimwear on the catwalk earlier this month.

Since Miranda‘s admission,¬†sales at Holland & Barrett‘s 625 UK stores shot up by more than 50 per cent.

Here’s the science bit:

‘The small molecular structure of coconut oil allows for easy absorption through the skin, giving it a soft, smooth texture,’ explains Holland & Barrett’s nutritionist Kate Butler.

‘This makes it an ideal ointment for the relief of dry, rough skin, and an effective after-sun lotion because it literally melts into your skin. Coconut oil works wonderfully as a hair conditioner too as Miranda‘s diet shows can be eaten on salads or used as a cooking oil.’

A word of warning, the fatty acids in coconut oil can contribute to increased risk of coronary heart disease when consumed in excess.
