K-Stew's here to show you how to break the beauty rules
Kristen Stewart pulled out all the style stops at Chanel’s AW13 Haute Couture show in Paris on Tuesday.
The actress may be more of a Balenciaga girl at heart but that didn’t stop her from rocking some seriously Chanel-ly trends.
A boucle blazer! Studded armlets! A slicked back low plait! Those leather gloves (that she loved so much she kept them on following the show too!)
K-Stew didn’t stop there though, on no, Kristen then added some seriously smoky eye make-up – and all before noon.
Thought smoky eyes were an evening affair? You thought wrong. Thanks to Kristen Stewart, autumn/winter is now all about the heavy daytime eye.
Prepare to get smudging, because here’s how she did it:
– Give traditional charcoals the boot, switching them up for greys with a hint of green, silver or blue. Line your lids with a navy shadow using a fine brush then smudge and blend outwards with dark metallic shades – they’re much kinder during daylight hours. Try Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadow(£38).
– Soften the rest of your look with a nude lipstick – try Bobbi Brown Sheer Lip Color in Peachy (£19) beacuse some beauty rules can’t be broken, well, unless it’s dark out.
– Smoky eyes have a knack of making skin look dull, so always finish the look with an illuminating fluid applied to whichever parts of your face catch the light – cheekbones and temples are a must.
Kristen Stewart used Chanel’s Soleil Tan De Chanel Sheer Illumination Fluid (£31) but Collection 2000’s Illuminating Touch Concealer (£4.99) works well on a budget.
