New survey reveals which hairdos drive men wild - and it's not what you'd expect
Instead (and let’s be thankful it’s not some complicated up-do you couldn’t manage without a team of stylists) messy bed hair is the winner for guys – 31% said this was their preferred look. No wonder Blake Lively and Olivia Palermo have bagged themselves some of the world’s hottest husbands.
Need some help mussing up your locks? Try a bit of backcombing and a liberal spritz of Label M Sea Salt Spray, £13.75. Scrunch it through the lengths with your hands for an artfully undone look.
When asked why guys preferred this look they said the main benefit was because it meant the owner of said barnet was potentially ‘less high-maintenance and more relaxed’ and would hopefully require ‘less time at the mirror getting ready’. True dat.
Second choice for the 1,213 British heterosexual guys polled by vouchercloud.com was long and preened hair. So, no need to retire the GHDs just yet. Phew.
In third place is a surprise hit. Vintage styles, like victory rolls, old fashioned curls, up-dos got 12% of men going (props to Paloma Faith and Lana Del Ray), closely followed by ponytails and buns with 11% of fellas choosing this look as their fave (pretty much every model strode the catwalk in a pony this season, what pros!).
And trailing behind them all was the oh-so-hot-right-now bob. Sadtimes.
Buuuuut, before that has us all dashing off to get extensions, the hairstyle men found LEAST attractive was described as the ‘Barbie look’ – 71% of those polled said hair extensions and peroxide colouring would put them off a prospective partner.
Better rethink your tresses then, Courtney Stodden. Actually scratch that, rethink everything, including you reconciliation with hubbie Doug Hutchison, eh?
Before and after pictures! X Factor’s Mel B is latest star to get the chop, who else is rocking a bob?
