We can’t get enough of Sheridan Smith as Cilla Black but check out the lorra lorra hair horrors she's had over the years...
We’ve long been big fans of Sheridan Smith here at Now and her latest stint playing former queen of Saturday night TV Cilla Black has only made us love her all the more.
And it seems we are not alone – 7 million of you tuned in to see her sing her heart out playing the Liverpudlian legend last week. And thanks to her powerful performance of Cilla‘s No.1 song Anyone Who Had a Heart the track could be heading on back to the top of the charts.
In case you missed Sheridan‘s drastic changing locks for various roles over the last few years here’s our Graham with a quick reminder… (Alright it’s not Graham, it’s us but we couldn’t resist…)
Red Hot Cilla
We’ve seen Sheridan in many different shades of reds in this role but this is by far the brightest and the best if you ask us.
Long Blonde Locks
Sheridan rocked flowing blonde locks for her at a recent appearance on the This Morning sofa. She later unveiled a short crop after shaving her hair for The C Word – a TV film based on the life of Alright Tit blogger Lisa Lynch, who died of cancer in 2013 – so this must have been a wig.
Dramatic Lilac Mohawk
Sheridan shaved her head and dyed her hair purple to film The C Word. To clear up any confusion over her new look, Sheridan tweeted: ‘For those of u confused by my hair..u shall see…@LisaLynch.’
Behived Mrs Biggs
Sheridan landed the part of Charmian Powell, the middle-class daughter of a headmaster who fell for charming jailbird Ronnie Biggs after meeting him on a commuter train in 1957. Sheridan stunned in the role – as did her ginger beehive – and bagged a Bafta for it.
Wow! The actress donned this huge blonde behive for her role as Chloe‘s mother Caroline Croombe in Mr Stink a couple of years ago.
Sheridan starred in Hedda Gabler at the Old Vic, as Ibsen‘s manipulative general’s daughter. The role is known as the female actor’s equivalent of a Hamlet or Lear. And the critics loved her, of course. Hailed a compelling presence the transformation in her hair is compelling too. Curly, brunette mop top Sheridan looks totally different and we love it!
She nabbed a best actress Olivier award for her stint in the West End production of Legally Blonde and her glossy, long softly curled wig was award winning too!
Platinum Blonde Bob
Sheridan goes platinum for the 2012 Whatsonstage.Com Awards Nominations Party.
Chav in Gav & Stacey
Remember that hilarious scene of Sheridan and James Corden doing the Kanye West rap from American Girl? Well this was the hairstyle she was sporting! She played Smithlar‘s sister Rudi from Essex. Suits you Sheridan!
We’d totally forgotten about Sheridan in the Royal Family and we’d definitely forgotten about this hairstyle! Sheridan played Emma on the hilarious BBC comedy.
Sleek brown bob
Back in 2008 at the TV Quick Awards, Dorchester Hotel, Sheridan‘s rocking a totally different more sublte look with this brown bob
Wild Kate Bush style
Not a look we’d really recreate, Sheridan looks a bit loopy for her stint as Helena in A Midsummers Night’s Dream back in 2006.
Sheridan gives herself a famous croydon facelift as Sandy in Fat Friends alongside Lisa Riley all the way back in 2002! We had to dig right into the ITV archive for this one! You’re welcome.
Sheridan played Matilda in a TV show called Dark Ages back in 1999. It looks like she’s gone back to the dark ages with this look!
Sheridan Smith gets all theatrical in this huge wig playing Mrs Dorothy Hardcastle in The Kissing Dance back in 1999.
