Viewers wondered what Amanda Holden has done to her face as she hosted Monday morning's instalment of the ITV show

Amanda Holden is on Lorraine hosting duties this week, and she hasn’t got off to the best start…

As if having to get up at some ungodly hour to fill in for queen of daytime TV Lorraine Kelly – who is currently enjoying a well-deserved break – wasn’t bad enough, Amanda now has to deal with a torrent of negative feedback following her first day on the ITV show’s comfy couch.

Many of the online commenters took issue with Amanda’s face, calling her a ‘waxwork’ and accusing her of having botox injections.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge has spoken openly about her use of botox in the past, admitting to having had injections but claiming to have stopped following the birth of her daughter, Hollie.

She previously said in 2014: ‘Everybody knows that yes, in the past I’ve talked about having Botox… since spending too much time in intensive care after nearly losing a baby, I’ve not gone under the knife or had any injections.’

But it wasn’t just Amanda’s face that attracted negativity – some viewers also criticised the star’s presenting style.

‘Impossible to watch laboured interview technique of Amanda Holden,’ one viewer tweeted, adding: ‘Hurry back, Lorraine!’

‘Omg @AmandaHolden is TERRIBLE on @reallorraine, another wrote.

It wasn’t all bad news for Amanda though, as other fans praised her on her early morning appearance.

One enthusiastic viewer posted: ‘Loving seeing @AmandaHolden back on my screen. Looking flawless as always. Love you soooooo much. Can’t wait for BGT on Saturday.’

In addition to filling in for Lorraine, Amanda will be on our screens this Saturday night as Britain’s Got Talent returns for a brand new series. We don’t know about you, but we can’t WAIT to see more of her face!
