Secret wedding sparks baby talk for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt
And after tying the knot to please their brood of six, Now can reveal plans for a seventh child could be down to the kids, too!
A source close to the couple tells Now: ‘Ange and Brad have made no secret of how much they adore children and now they’re planning for a brother or sister to add to their family. They’d love a honeymoon baby. They’re very aware of the fact they’re not getting any younger.
‘On top of that, their youngest two [twins Vivienne and Knox] are really putting the pressure on, saying they want another sibling to play with. Needless to say, Brad and Ange aren’t wasting any time getting started.’
Oscar winner Angelina has admitted the couple would love to have more children, saying in 2011: ‘We’re going to have more kids one way or another. I could end up pregnant.’
The fact that Angelina’s 39 and Brad’s 50 won’t be the only thing on their minds as they consider extending their family. Angelina carries the faulty BRCA1 gene, which increases her chances of contracting breast and ovarian cancer. She had a preventative double mastectomy in 2013 to reduce her risk of breast cancer from 87 per cent to around five per cent.
Ange is also expected to have a hysterectomy and oophorectomy – the removal of the womb and ovaries – to combat the 50 per cent odds of developing ovarian cancer in the near future. ‘There’s still another surgery to have, which I haven’t yet,’ she said earlier this year. However, her decision to wait means she and Brad may be able to have more biological children.
A deep love
After nine years together, six kids and a two-year engagement, Brad and Ange finally exchanged vows on Saturday 23 August. The non-denominational civil ceremony took place at their beautiful 1,000-acre French property Chateau Miraval with just 22 guests.
Ange, whose dress and veil was decorated with images drawn by their kids, walked down the aisle with eldest sons Maddox, 13, and Pax, 10, on each arm. Zahara, nine, and Vivienne, six, threw petals gathered from the garden while Shiloh, eight, and Knox, six, served as ring bearers.
The family then headed to Malta on Wednesday, where Brad and Ange will start shooting their new movie By The Sea. It’s written and directed by Ange and will be the first project they’ve co-starred in since Mr & Mrs Smith, the film they met on exactly 10 years ago in 2004.
It’s a dream come true for Ange, who’s admitted in the past: ‘I never thought I’d have children, I never thought I’d be in love, I never thought I’d meet the right person. Having come from a broken home, you kind of accept certain things feel like a fairytale and you just don’t look for them.’
Aww, congrats, Brange!
