Tennis star Andy Murray’s wife Kim Sears is said to be pregnant, just months after their wedding
The 28-year-old tennis ace and his wife are said to have announced the news to family and friends after 27-year-old Kim had a 12-week scan, The Sun claims, with the little one due to arrive in February.
Andy’s mum Judy Murray and brother Andy are apparently both ‘ecstatic’ about the happy news.
It comes just four months after the couple tied the knot in a fairy-tale ceremony held in Andy’s hometown of Dunblane in Scotland.
Andy has been on a bit of a role since getting married. The sportsman had a hugely successful winning streak in the weeks following the nuptials and even won his first Masters title on clay in Madrid.
The thrilled Scot was seen writing the words ‘marriage works’ on a nearby camera after claiming victory, so Kim has clearly been a great influence on him. We can only imagine how well he’ll do when he’s a dad!
Andy and Kim have yet to officially comment on the baby reports but fans have been quick to send their congratulations and best wishes on social media.
‘Aww big congrats to #AndyMurray and #KimSears on their baby news! 🙂 lovely!’ one fan Tweeted.
Another wrote: ‘Daddy Murray is coming… congrats on a wonderful, blessing and huge step in your life, @andy_murray & Kim. Joyful times.’
Andy and Kim – who have been together for eight years – are already parents in a sense to their beloved pet dogs Maggie May and Rusty, who live with them at their home in Surrey.
The tennis star often shares pictures of the pooches on his Instagram page and has even posted snaps from when they FaceTime each other – cute!
In 2013 Andy Murray admitted in his autobiography that looking after the pups sometimes felt like being a dad.
‘It is not the same as having kids – or at least I don’t think it is – but that’s sometimes what it feels like,’ he wrote.
