And Katie Price has frank advice for those who don't want to listen to it
Katie Price has confirmed she’ll release new music next year.
The 36-year-old businesswoman is to make an album of cover songs in 2015, all of them cheesey ballads.
So if you were a fan of her and then-husband Peter Andre‘s A Whole New World back in 2006 (who wasn’t, right?), get excited to hear the former glamour model’s dulcet tones once again. Ahem.
‘Yes I am recording, and I will put it out,’ she says.
However Katie warns that those who aren’t a fan of her vocals should probably keep quiet as it’s all for charity.
She added that as she has the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives she’s making the most of the position she’s in as a celebrity.
‘If people don’t want to listen then they can just not click on the button,’ she continued. ‘I’ve never said I’m the best singer but if I have the opportunity, then why not? I’m sure if others could they would.’
Katie tried to represent Britain at Eurovision in 2005 and was up against Andy Scott-Lee, Gina G (who represented the United Kingdom in 1996), Girls Aloud reject Javine Hylton, and Tricolore. But Javine pipped her to the post.
She added at her perfume launch Kissable Fierce that the experience is not one she’d want to repeat with her fresh tracks.
She said: ‘It’ll be mushy stuff…ballads. A bit like karaoke. And it’s not to make money, I’ll probably do it for charity. I won’t try for Eurovision again.’
The news comes after Katie told Now earlier this year: ‘Look, I’m never going to be a pop star but I’d like to record something and release it for charity. I’m not the best singer and I always get slated for it but I will – I enjoy it.’
