Alex Reid has grand plans for his new business

Alex Reid is hoping he’ll do well with a franchised new chain of gyms – and also plans to introduce martial arts into the school curriculum.

Jamie Oliver inspired youngsters in TV series Jamie’s Dream School and the cage fighter aims to make a real difference with The Alex Reid Academy.

‘I want to be like the Jamie Oliver of the fitness world,’ Alex, 36, tells the Daily Star.

‘The principles of martial arts – fitness, respect and discipline – can help in all aspects of life.’

As well as building up his business, Alex is coming out of retirement to fight Jason ‘Badass’ Barrett, 35, this weekend.

‘It’s all about me getting out there and changing people’s lives,’ he told Lorraine this morning on ITV1.

‘And that’s one of the reasons why I’m fighting on Saturday.’
