Natalie and her ex are giving things another go
Natalie Cassidy has revealed that she’s taken back Adam Cottell – 9 months after he pleaded guilty to assaulting her.
The former EastEnders actress says she wanted to help Adam – who she was with for 2 years before they broke up – after he called her ‘sobbing’ and admitting that he was ‘ill’.
‘I know many people will question my decision,’ says Natalie, 28.
‘Others will disagree with my choice.
‘But I do forgive Adam. We are back together and I strongly believe we can make it work.’
The couple split after Adam admitted ‘smearing Natalie with mascara and striking her with a slipper on the upper leg’ at East Hertfordshire Magistrates’ Court last year.
In a second incident, the transport manager ‘grabbed her by the arms and ripped her top’ before smashing wine glasses and a microwave.
Natalie lifted a 2-year restraining order against Adam, 32, in November after he completed treatment for alcohol addiction, which she blames for his behaviour during that ‘awful time’.
‘At the moment we are taking it one day at a time,’ she explains. ‘It’s the only way forward.
‘But we love each other to pieces and are happier than we have ever been.’
