The Brighton eatery is targeted in late-night raid
Dermot O’Leary‘s fish restaurant has been broken into and robbed of £1,500.
A group of thieves are believed to have escaped from Brighton’s Fishy Fishy with a heavy safe after disabling the alarms.
‘We believe four people were involved. We’re looking at CCTV pictures to identify them,’ says a police spokeswoman.
‘At the time of the burglary early last Sunday, Brighton was busy and I would appeal to anyone who noticed anything suspicious to come forward.’
X Factor host Dermot, 39, has co-owned Fishy Fishy with friends Paul Shovlin and James Ginzler for three years.
He often pops into the eatery to meet those who are dining there and to help the waiters serve up food.
‘I’ve seen him in there a number of times. He’ll be devastated,’ one of Dermot‘s customers tells The Sun.
‘Not because of the money but because of the principle.’
