The model feels like she's 'going through a rebirth'

Liberty Ross has admitted that it was ‘horrible’ and ‘really the worst’ when her husband Rupert Sanders was pictured cheating with Kristen Stewart last year.

The model, 35, tried to ‘visualise’ herself as a Maasai warrior and let the traumatic incident ‘roll past her’ for her family’s sake but filed for divorce from director Rupert, 42, in January.

‘I have no words to describe what we went through,’ says Liberty.

‘But I think, for me, something always has to completely die for there to be a rebirth. And, for me, I feel like I’m going through a rebirth.’

Rupert got close to Kristen, 23, after he cast her in Snow White And The Huntsman and said he was ‘praying’ that Liberty would forgive him when their affair was discovered.

But Liberty – who has children Skyla and Tennison with Rupert – says she sometimes felt ‘lonely’ and ‘very disconnected’ from him before ending their 11-year marriage.

‘It’s been very strange for me because my parents have been together for 50 years, so divorce is something I never, ever thought I would do,’ Liberty tells Vanity Fair.

‘I’m not a quitter. I’ve done everything I could to be the perfect wife and mother and really support my husband. But I didn’t have any more to give, you know?’
