With the sixth series of Gogglebox back on our screens we catch up with Sandy and Sandra to talk sex, toyboys and Simon Cowell. You get me?
We can’t get enough of Sandra Martin, 53, and Sandy Channer, 50 who shot to fame on Gogglebox in 2013.
The pair, who met at a ravers club in the 1970s spend their evening’s at Sandra’s south London pad, gorging on takeaways and shouting at the telly – hello, dream job!
Fame should come naturally to Sandy – after all she is a cousin of Naomi Campbell. And with the sixth series of the hit show back on our screens the BFFs talk exclusively to Now about sex, toyboys and Simon Cowell. You get me?
So who do Sandra and Sandy fancy? Well it seems that Sandra has her eye on This Morning’s Eamonn Holmes. She says: ‘He wakes me up in the mornings like a sunrise. I like his soft accent. We’d make a couple but he’s got Ruth [Langsford] and she’s really nice so I wouldn’t go there.’
Sandy adds: ‘I used to fancy Idris Elba but I’ve moved on to Tank. And I really love Simon Webbe from Blue.’
But the girls aren’t short of attention themselves and being on the small screen has changed their lives.
Sandy admits that she ‘sometimes’ worries about crazy fans and adds: ‘I had to leave Notting Hill Carnival because I was getting mauled for photos – it was crazy’.
But despite the way their new-found fame has propelled them into the spotlight the girls says they wouldn’t change a thing.
Sandy explains: ‘I’ve got a miracle job. I will never ever, ever leave Gogglebox – even if it was for millions. What would make my day is if my sister Queen Elizabeth watched it. That’s my goal to get the Queen watching serious. Buckingham Palace needs to get involved.
We support you Sandy!
