Strictly Come Dancing is back with a bang and the line-up is A-mazing. We analyse this year's 15 contestants
OH.YES. Not only is The X Factor back on our screens, but BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing will also be keeping us safely locked indoors on Saturday nights.
Promo shots for the new series have been released today with the 15 famous faces looking seriously glitzy in their sequin ensembles but, who’s going to be this year’s eye-candy? Who will be the secret dance god? And, most importantly, who will have us laughing our little socks off?
We’ve analysed the pictures in Sherlock-stylee to try to predict what’s going to happen:
The Most Scared Contestant
Hmmm. Don’t be fooled by Steve Backshall’s humongous grin. The wildlife presenter may have encountered some seriously creepy animals in his time but he recently admitted that nothing will be as scary as what lies ahead on the BBC dancing show.
‘Strictly is going to be my wildest challenge by far,’ revealed Steve, 41.
We’re spoilt for choice this year. Not only is Kelly Brook’s ex, Thom Evans, going to be strutting his stuff (and hopefully whipping off his shirt), but Blue boy Simon Webbe will also be cha-cha-cha-ing around the dancefloor. Drool. The obvs winner though has GOT to be TOWIE babe, Mark Wright. Ladies, we are in for a treat.
Most Enviable Bod
Pop starlet, Pixie Lott, 23, looks super confident and super hot in her Strictly snap. We’ll be getting down and whacking out 50 press-ups as we watch the blonde beauty waltz around the dancefloor. #ditchthechips
The ‘OMG we didn’t know he could dance’ Act
Radio 1 DJ, Scott Mills, 40, could be the sly dog of the series.
Not only has he been bopping along to the latest tunes for over 15 years (yup, that’s how long he’s been DJ-ing), but he also grew up with a dance-obsessed grandma.
‘When I was younger, my Nan danced the foxtrot and waltz, so it would be great for me to learn those dances,’ he said.
Scott, who came out as gay in 2011, also admitted that he’s ‘looking forward to the weekly fake tans’. Aww, what a babe.
Most Comedic Act
Brummie lass, Alison Hammond, 39, had us in bits during 2010’s I’m A Celebrity. She’s also confessed to being an awful dancer: ‘Technically, I’m not a good dancer, no. I just throw some shapes on the dancefloor and see how it goes.’. This could be interesting…
* Tune in to BBC1 this Sunday at 8pm to see the Strictly celebrities make their first moves…
WE. CAN’T. WAIT.
