TOWIE star Ferne McCann has revealed that she starts shooting for a film at the end of the year
Ferne had been involved in talks in the UK prior to her visit to Cannes for the film festival. Speaking of her new venture during an interview the 24-year old reality TV star said: ‘I went out to Cannes and finalised some meetings I had in the UK – all really exciting, so I’m working on a film towards the end of the year. It’s not a big role but it’s something I’ve always wanted to do.’
She added: ‘ I’d love to act but right now I’m very much part of Towie. I studied theatre at A-levels and I’d love to play a gritty role.’
Since joining the hit reality show, Ferne has been a main player following her heated exchanges with her now ex boyfriend Charlie Sims and his sister Chloe.
And it was only in March that Ferne became hot news once again after he made the decision to dump her – via Twitter.
Speaking to Now, Ferne said: ‘I don’t think he was thinking straight. I think he’ll regret those tweets.’
Her comments come after Charlie, 23, took to Twitter to say: ‘So sad to not lose one.. But two people you love dearly to a TV show. Everyone can point the finger at me.. But I have morals. And dignity. And some sort of self-respect. I wish @Chloe_Sims and @fernemccann the best with their lives. But always live knowing you chose the show.’
He then contacted the show on Twitter to announce his departure.
Charlie had previously given Ferne an ultimatum asking her to choose between him and the show.
Explaining her decision to stay on the reality programme she told Now: ’Towie’s my job at the end of the day – it’s my career. His behaviour has made me question the future. Now I think we want different things in life. He was my everything but now it looks like that isn’t going to happen anymore and I have to re-evaluate my life. It’s really upsetting.’
