TOWIE’s Ferne McCann reveals how Barbra Streisand taught her to love her imperfect nose
She’s TOWIE‘s gobbiest girl but beneath Ferne McCann‘s super-confident exterior, she admits she has just as many insecurities as the rest of us.
Shockingly, since finding fame on the Essex-based reality show last year, Ferne, 24, reveals how she was almost driven to plastic surgery by cruel cyber bullies who ridiculed her ‘imperfect’ nose.
‘I’ve always been self-conscious of my nose and I compare myself to other women all the time,’ admits Ferne. ‘People have called my nose disgusting. It’s really hurtful.’

In our exclusive shoot, Ferne is fighting back and is channelling the woman with the most famous nose in showbiz: Barbra Streisand. As a young woman Barbra, now 72, refused to have a nose job for fear it might ruin her voice. ‘Barbra never changed herself for anyone and neither will I,’ says Ferne.
Ferne remembers the most hateful comments she’s received on her Twitter and Instagram. ‘Someone wrote, “You earn all this money – why haven’t you fixed your nose yet?”‘
Another read: ‘Has Gemma been practicing dives off your nose?’ referring to the time Ferne‘s co-star Gemma Collins was appearing on diving show, Splash.
In our exclusive interview, Ferne admits that despite considering plastic surgery to change her nose, and even dragging boyfriend Charlie Sims with her to consultations, she’s never going to change for anyone. ‘I’d never rule out something minor like Botox, but I’d never do anything as drastic as a nose job because that would be letting the bullies win,’ she says.
