Actor accused of assaulting photographer

Jude Law has been told he will not face charges after being accused of assaulting a female photographer outside a London club in July.

The Crown Prosecution Service say they will take no further action.

‘A careful analysis of the specific evidence in this case, which included photographs and eye witness statements, indicates that Mr Law had no intention to assault anyone,’ a statement from The CPS says.

‘While Mr Law accepted that he may have come into contact with someone whilst attempting to make his way to his car, it is highly likely that a court would decide his actions were reasonable given that his path was deliberately impeded by a crowd of photographers.’

Jude, 34, was previously arrested for alleged assault on another photographer in 2007 but wasn’t charged.
