The Strictly Come Dancing star has moved on from her love split from Artem

We love it when two celebrities we heart end up getting together – so we’re feeling a bit soppy this Sunday morning.

Former Strictly Come Dancing winner Kara Tointon is dating the nicest man in TV – former This Morning presenter Matt Johnson.

The Sunday Mirror reports that the ex EastEnders and Mr Selfridge actress has been spotted out on dates with Matt looking ‘very loved-up’.

It comes after Kara, 31, split from her Strictly dance partner Artem Chigvintsev last November after they found love when they were paired up on the BBC dance show in 2010.

Kara and Matt, 32, were last week spotted together at a pub in West London.

An onlooker told the Sunday Mirror: ‘They looked very close, touching each other, and Matt put his arm around her at one point.

‘They held hands as they walked. They looked very loved-up.’ They were also seen looking cosy at a recent ITV party. And this week Matt posted a picture with friends, including Kara, at a Secret Cinema event in London.

And it sounds like it’s getting serious. Matt posted a picture on his Instagram a week ago with the message: ‘I’m in love, I’m all shook up, uh huh huh.’

Friends also say that Matt apparently took Kara as his date to his brother’s recent wedding. Could his be next? We hope so!

News of their romance comes as Matt revealed a new tattoo. The star, who is an ambassador for mental health charity Mind, got the charity’s logo inked on his wrist in tribute to how in awe he is of the work they do.

Matt recently took part in Mind 3000s, trekking for 24 hours to raise more than £50,000 for the charity.

He has been open about his own struggle with depression in the past, describing how he hit his lowest ebb when he split from his girlfriend of six years The One Show’s Alex Jones.

He has said: ‘I felt so very alone. I have never felt so scared of being by myself. I pushed away a lot of my friends. I lost a relationship. I think my family was aware of my situation but they kept a distance because they know that I am very secretive when I want to be. I can hide my feelings. I can put on a mask and pretend everything is fine, even when it isn’t.’

He added: ‘My advice to anyone struggling with depression is to tell somebody. It doesn’t matter who it is. It could be the guy on the street or somebody on the bus. It’s okay not to feel good about yourself. Explaining your situation and talking about it is half the battle.’

We’re so happy he’s found love with Kara.
