After her exclusive chat with Now, Karen Danczuk reveals she’s taking some time out
Karen Danczuk, the selfie queen of politics, has had a busy few days after her exclusive chat with Now.
The 32-year-old wife of Labour MP Simon Danczuk admits the reaction to her daring photoshoot and honest chat has left her feeling a bit overwhelmed so she’s decided to go off Twitter for a while.
To make her announcement yesterday Karen posted a relaxed selfie and told her followers:
The mum-of-two received several supportive messages from fans after sharing the update, with one commenting: ‘take it easy princess 🙂 So on your side x’
Another wrote: ‘come back stronger and bigger and put more out there, don’t change stay as you are’
Many eagle-eyed Twitter users also noticed that Karen wasn’t wearing her wedding ring in the picture following her split from husband Simon.
It comes after the 48-year-old MP – who has sons Milton, 7, and Maurice, 5, with Karen – made a dig at his wife on social media yesterday and referred to her as his ex.
Ouch! Karen and Simon split in June after eight years together and Karen later denied claims that she was having an affair with her personal trainer Ben Bate.
But despite the controversy, speculation and seemingly bitter Tweets, Simon revealed during an appearance on This Morning today that he’d like to reunite with Karen.
‘I love Karen dearly, she’s the mother of our two beautiful children,’ the politician said.
‘I’m not sure how she feels. I love Karen. We’ve had some great times together and of course I’d like us to get back together.’
Simon also confessed that he doesn’t think that his wife had an affair with her personal trainer.
‘I’m unsure. I suspect she didn’t now have an affair,’ he told presenters Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden.
‘I don’t think she did have an affair with Ben. We speak on a regular basis. We’ve had that conversation.
‘I’m now convinced that nothing has gone on between them.’
Furthermore he admitted that he takes ‘full responsibility’ for their break-up as he was suffering from depression which put a strain on the relationship.
Now it’s over to Karen…
