George Kay has been bailed following his arrest and Kerry Katona is putting a brave face on
The 35-year-old – who married Kerry, 34, in September last year – has been bailed until later in August after his arrest following a carjacking in Bushey, Hertfordshire last month.
Tens of thousands of pounds worth of jewels were allegedly stolen in the incident, with police saying that three men assaulted the driver of a Mercedes C-Class and took two bags full of jewellery.
A second incident occurred when another man was reportedly attacked in a nearby street. The group pulled him from his Honda Jazz and drove off in the vehicle, which was later found in north west London having been set alight.
Neither victim sustained any significant injuries, police have said.
‘A 35-year-old man from South Oxfordshire was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery on July 25. He has been released on police bail until August 20,’ a statement from Hertfordshire Police says.
Three men all from London and aged 20, 21 and 66 have also been held.
Despite the drama, Kerry has maintained a positive outlook on social media this morning and shared a happy message with her followers.
The mum-of-five also hit out at stories about her family, telling a fan:
In reports from The Sun last night Kerry was said to be unaware of George’s arrest.
‘Kerry doesn’t know that George has been arrested. When she finds out she will be heartbroken,’ a source says.
‘It is the last thing she needs after the year they have had.’
It comes after George moved back into the home he shared with Kerry after spending some time apart.
The couple have a 16-month-old daughter together called Dylan-Jorge. Kerry also has Molly, 13, and Lilly-Sue, 12, from her marriage to Brian McFadden and Heidi, 8, and Max, 7, with second husband Mark Croft.
