The real juicy action is going on off-camera!

Unexplained deaths, tampering with evidence, solving crimes – it’s all in a day’s work for police anti-corruption unit AC-12.

The no-nonsense trio of Vicky McClure (Detective Sergeant Kate Fleming), Martin Compston (Detective Sergeant Steve Arnott) and Adrian Dunbar (Superintendent Ted Hastings) have the nation glued to their TVs every Sunday night as they star in BBC One’s Line Of Duty.

The new series – which returned to our telly boxes on 26 March – also features BAFTA award-winning actress Thandie Newton as DCI Roz Huntley, and the team has also got an injection of guy candy in the form of Our Girl star Royce Pierreson, who plays DC Jamie Desford.

But despite the seriousness of the subject matter, the cast had a hoot behind the scenes during filming, if Vicky and Martin’s social media pics are anything to go by…

Camera surveillance

‘That’s a wrap on #LineofDuty4! Gonna miss the team like mad. Bye bye Belfast!’ wrote Vicky on Twitter, as the series finished filming in Northern Ireland. Solving crimes has never looked more jolly.

Line of toothy

Some of the cast, including Vicky and Thandie (bottom left), give us their ‘best’ smiles.

Martin and Vicky posed for the camera ahead of the series premiere last month.

Anti-corruption kebabs

The trio that eats together stays together. Martin posted this pic with Vicky and Adrian as they grabbed a takeaway.

Best pals

In December, Vicky gave Thandie Newton (Roz Huntley) a homemade Critics’ Choice Award after she won Best Supporting Actress for Westworld.

What a pleasure to present this beauty with her 'home made' #criticschoiceaward #thandienewton #westworld #winner 🎉🏆🌟
