Michelle Keegan’s new job takes her back up North just weeks after she moved to Essex to be with Mark
But it’s not that she’s already fed up of Mark and the rest of the Wright clan.
Instead the gorgeous actress has bagged her first major acting role since leaving Coronation Street….and it’s being filmed back home in Manchester.
She has been cast in the brand new BBC drama series Ordinary Lies. It is set in the offices of a motor showroom, and is about the little white lies people tell and how they can spiral out of control.
Michelle, 27, plays a party girl named Tracey, alongside an all-star cast including Max Beesley, Mackenzie Crook and Jason Manford.
Michelle said: ‘I’m honoured to be working with such a talented group of actors and can’t wait to start filming… Oh and another great thing about this job is that it’s being filmed in my hometown of Manchester! Yep, it’s back up the M6 for me for a while.’
It will be a difficult time for the couple being separated so soon after moving in together. Mark, 27, is in London rehearsals for Strictly Come Dancing while Michelle films in the north of England so it will be a struggle for them to find the time to be together.
However Mark took time out of learning to cha cha cha and salsa to visit Michelle in Manchester last week and the pair checked themselves in to a spa for a spot of couple’s pampering. Nice!
They might be in different cities but Michelle is still totally focused on planning her wedding.
She met up with girlfriends while in her hometown for a gossip and to plan her hen do for next year. Eeek-citing!
